Sri Lanka with great maritime history since thousands of years because there are many harbors located around the country. During the past, there are several maritime museums were established in several cities to be exhibited in the glorious history of the modern world. Trincomalee Maritime and Naval Museum one of the latest established museum in Sri Lanka. One of the great museum made by Sri Lankan government and used Dutch Navy Commissioner’s House in Trincomalee and it has been renovated for this purpose. Also, it is a great significant milestone to present the great maritime history of Sri Lanka and there are video documentaries as well to grab more knowledge. All exhibits are totally related to the Maritime also there are exhibit items for marine biodiversity which is the rare experience to observe. There is an opportunity to observe about various different biodiversity sections. This museum manages by Sri Lanka Navy and they guide and demonstrate all exhibits in the appropriate way.
