There is a large pagoda that constructed the 2nd Century B.C and that is restored in 1920 and this pagoda built by King Kawanthissa. This place is a large Buddhist Monastery in past, could be one of the central places of the eastern part. In northern entrance evidence of molded bricks, balustrades, moonstone and guard stones which are truly tremendous to observe and well carved and expressed the emotions of the statues. There is a Bodigara (A placed to worship Sacred Boo Tree) it has been built by the stone. A great place to visit and observe the glorious history.
